Canal du Midi - Part 2

Our next stop was the Cathedral of Saint Nezaire and the surrounding buildings and fortifications. The church was originally built in 1209 and subsequently renovated, repaired and added to over the centuries. Originally built in Romanesque style it was burned down during the crusades and rebuilt in the Gothic style.
